How to Join KAPPA

The Keystone Chapter of APPA (KAPPA) was formed in 1991 to serve the professional development needs of higher education facilities officers throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  KAPPA is a member-managed organization fueled and sustained by the involvement of professional facilities officers, business partners, and associate members.

Becoming a member of KAPPA is easy, and best of all, it’s free!  There are two ways to become a member of KAPPA:  1)  E-mail Lenny Libbon providing him with the name of your institution or business, mailing address, e-mail address, and office phone number; and/or 2)  Come to a semi-annual meeting and be automatically considered a KAPPA member.  There are no fees, dues, or forms necessary to become a member of KAPPA.

Scholarships

You, too, can attend the APPA Institute for Facilities Management by taking advantage of the "Norman H. Bedell Annual APPA Institute Scholarship" program.  KAPPA offers $1,500 towards the tuition and the expenses of attending an APPA Institute.  The next recipient will be selected and announced at the Spring business meeting.

The only requirement is that if you receive the scholarship you must use it within 12 months of the award. One or more $1,500 scholarships are awarded each year.

Take advantage of this opportunity.  Apply today.  Applications are due by Friday, April 16, 2010.

Congratulations to Kurt Fink (Penn State Commonwealth Services)!  Kurt was the 2009 recipient of the Bedell Scholarship; he used it to travel to the January 2010 APPA Institute in Indian Wells, CA.
