Colby College, founded in 1813, is an American private liberal arts college located on Mayflower Hill in Waterville, Maine. Colby is the 12th-oldest independent liberal arts college in the United States. Approximately 1,800 students from more than 60 countries are enrolled annually; the college offers 52 major fields of study and 32 minors, and emphasizes project-based learning.

Expanding Communications on Sustainability through Social Networking |

It seems that lately we hear increasingly more about the advantages of promoting business goals through social networking with the growing popularity of tools like blogs, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The University of Rochester has been making efforts to incorporate these tools as a means to publicize its initiatives towards environmental sustainability. After all, most anyone will find a wealth of information at their fingertips by running a simple Google search on any given topic and these networking tools help to make information more public. So, the goal for the University of Rochester is not only to share its successes and educate the many students, staff, faculty, and healthcare employees who make the University what it is, but also to get the word outside to the local community and the greater public in general. It can be a great way to grab the interest of potential students, other institutions with similar goals, or anyone who has an interest in sustainability in general.

SNEAPPA Hosts APPA Conference in Boston
Kudos to SNEAPPA Chapter President Neal Lespasio (Emerson College) and his host committee for their excellent hospitality at the APPA national conference in Boston. More than 500 registrants and guests and 100 business partners attended the event at the Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center on July 14-16. Joining Neal at the conference to offer a warm New England welcome were:Norm Archer, John Cannon, Chris Dupris, Peyton Gibson, Anne Kroger, Linda Lukas, Tom Kane, Joe Knoll, Kate Leblanc, Cynthia (Linz) Segal, John Michalewicz, Sue Mulcahey, Carl Narasian, Terry Pellerin, Richard Petraglia, Linda Rudzinski, and Jim Youcis.
