Fall 2014 Conference - Save the Date & Call for Presentations

Doing More with Less

Join us this fall at the University of Southern Maine to explore the theme of Doing More with Less. Educational sessions will be designed around the following tracks:

  • Custodial
  • Operations & Maintenance
  • Grounds & Athletics
  • Human Resources & Leadership

Interwoven among the above topics will be the thread of sustainability that is at the heart of doing more with less. Each track will include one or more sessions that focus on some aspect of sustainability within the topic and are applicable to attendees.

Presentations are now being accepted!

Proposals will be accepted for:

  • Presentations – Team or individual presentations will be accepted. Sessions will run 1.25 hours and presenters should allow ~ 10 minutes at the end for questions/comments.
  • Panels - Panel discussions will be considered. They may be organized and submitted as a group by a panel coordinator, or an individual may submit their particular viewpoint to become part of a panel.
  • Hands-on - Presentations featuring real world scenarios, advanced techniques/technologies or job specific training will be accepted.

General Presentation Expectations:

  • Content – The Conference seeks to educate its audience and not promote any specific products. Only presentations that are product-neutral will be considered. Presentation selections will be made based upon desired topics, flow of content, educational value and understanding of the content. All selected content may be published in Conference publications and online. All submittals must include 5 “Educational Points” which are specific “takeaways” from the presentation.
  • Agenda Schedule – The conference organizers will set the day and time for each presentation, in order to optimize the sequencing and flow of content and tracks. Sessions will end by 5:00 pm on October 9th and 12 Noon on October 10th.
