Phillips Exeter Academy will be welcoming NNECERAPPA members to our campus on March 8 & 9, 2012, for the spring chapter meeting. With a theme of “Preserving Our Heritage”, we will be showcasing our campus that dates back to 1781. On the morning of registration, in addition to a tour through our recently renovated Central Heat Plant, we will also offer a general tour with an historical perspective. With past students such as Daniel Webster and Robert Todd Lincoln (whose dad visited him here when he was running for president), our history is rich.

Although we are still working on finalizing a program, Connie Simmons and I have started to assemble a number of ideas for educational sessions, falling under a four track program. We are focusing on tracks that cover Custodial/Housekeeping, Grounds, Campus Systems, and Construction Design/Management, with potential subjects ranging from staffing, maintaining our trail system, pervious pavement updates, lockdown drills, campus safety accreditation, National Historic Registration process, campus project standards, preventing ice dams, and using sustainability consultants on projects- all under consideration.

So save the date, and watch the www.erappa.org/nne web site for more information to come.
