As second-in-command to the Executive Director of Operations & Maintenance (O&M), the incumbent provides support in the oversight of a department of approximately 300 trades and professional staff, with a $20 million operating budget and a $20-30 million facility renewal budget. Assists in support of O&M responsibilities for 13 million square feet of facilities valued at $1.4 B and the campus utilities infrastructure.

Direct responsibilities include oversight of budget and financial activities for all of O&M and oversight of select facilities groups/functions, e.g., Intercollegiate Athletic Facilities (ICA), Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology Research Facilities (IBBR), Edward Saint John Learning & Teaching Center (ESJLTC), Incident Response Unit and the Preventive Maintenance Program. The incumbent also provides oversight and direction in the development and preparation of performance and financial metrics. This incumbent will stand in for the Executive Director in a variety of situations.
