Job Title: HR/Payroll Specialist

Position Overview: Perform personnel activities and assist Physical Plant Department (PPD) in support of the University’s human resource policies and procedures. Coordinate the onboarding and off-boarding efforts for the Department. Oversee payroll process and ensure consistency of payroll activities throughout the Department. Reports to the Assistant Director for Technology, Innovation and Administration and requires active engagement in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability and delivering great customer experience.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration and 1-3 years’ experience in payroll processing, business/accounting processes or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge can be acquired. Proficient in spreadsheet, word processing and database applications. Effective organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to workplace diversity, sustainability and delivering exceptional value and great experience to customers.
