Community College of Philadelphia is seeking to fill a Manager, Mechcanical Plant Operations position. The Manager, Mechanical Plant Operations manages the daily functions of the HVAC department to include proper maintenance, installation and repair of HVAC equipment, while providing leadership and supervision of engineering staff. This position is responsible for troubleshooting and evaluating solutions for equipment problems throughout the College's physical plant and serves as the subject matter expert in the operation of all College HVAC and power supply equipment; including the steam distribution system and steam valves and traps.

• High school diploma, or GED equivalent, required.
• At least four (4) years of experience in facilities operation/engineering or facilities management required.
• Boiler Operator License required.
• Experience establishing and monitoring preventative maintenance schedules and procedures required.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• Thorough knowledge of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems required.
• Good customer service orientation and the ability to collaborate well with others required.
• Ability to maintain sensitivity, understanding and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgrounds required.
• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Engineering, Facilities Operations, Facilities Management or related field preferred. Any and all degree(s) must be from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
• CFC certification and/or Energy Management certification preferred.
