Candidate: Craig Hickey, University of New Brunswick

It is my distinct honour to receive a nomination for the position of Vice President of Chapter Development with the ERAPPA Board of Directors. I have more than 34 years experience in construction and project management, with the past 23+ years working with the University of New Brunswick, currently in the position of Director of Projects. This position oversees all the construction and renovation projects on two campuses, with my main focus being on Major Capital. Since attending my first ERAPPA Annual Meeting in 2009, it was easy to see the benefits of becoming more involved in this organization.
I have been a member of the host committee for 2 Annual meetings (2011 & 2023). I have been an active member of ERAPPA Committees for the past 10 years (Technology & Communications Committee and Chapter Development), as well as holding various positions at the local Chapter level, including Secretary/VP Technology and Chapter President. With my term as AAPPA Chapter President finishing earlier this year, I feel that the next step for my ERAPPA journey is to become a candidate for the position on the ERAPPA Board.
With the experiences and professional growth that I have gained thus far within this great organization, I feel that this position would be an excellent opportunity for me to continue to help support the goals and mission of ERAPPA. There are many challenges ahead for our industry, but I believe that with collaboration and innovation, we can continue to demonstrate the value of ERAPPA to be successful and meet the needs of our members. I want to sincerely thank you for your consideration and support for this opportunity to serve on the ERAPPA board.
Candidate: Tim Schill, Conestoga Institute of Technology

I am honored to be nominated as a candidate for Vice President, Chapter Development with ERAPPA. With over 40 years of experience in facilities management—including 33 years at Conestoga Institute of Technology—I have built my career around collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth. I currently serve as Vice President, Facilities & Capital Development at Conestoga, where I lead initiatives in capital planning, operations, sustainability, and student-focused service delivery. I have been actively engaged in ERAPPA and OCAPPA through committee leadership, conference planning, and membership development, all of which have strengthened my commitment to fostering stronger chapter connections.
I’ve had the privilege of serving in leadership roles within our Ontario chapter, including many years as secretary and president. During that time, I lead initiatives such as rewriting our Terms of Reference and rebranding from OCFMA to OCAPPA, ensuring stronger alignment with APPA and a clearer identity for our members. Thus, my passion lies in supporting local chapters, encouraging member participation, and helping professionals access the tools, networks, and knowledge ERAPPA provides. I would be grateful for your support in serving as Vice President, Chapter Development and contributing to a stronger, more connected ERAPPA community.
