ERAPPA CEFP Credentialing Program Subsidy

Obtaining the CEFP is both a personal commitment and a professional development journey. And it is APPA | Leadership in Education Facilities management training, best practices, standards, and research – that supplies you with the training tools that take you on your path to success.

The Certified Educational Facilities Professional (CEFP) credential represents the highest standards of performance and understanding in educational facilities management. CEFP is the only facilities credential that focuses on your professional development while encompassing the full, multi-disciplinary range of educational facilities management principles and practices – from planning, design, and construction to daily operations and general management.

ERAPPA is committed to investing in your professional development by offering access to APPA’s CEFP Credentialing Program at a reduced cost of $550. The number of CEFP subsidies will vary depending on available budget each fiscal year for eligible applicants.

Applicants who have funding for the program are free to register directly with APPA, only those looking for the subsidy need to contact and confirm a coupon with the VPPD ERAPPA.

Eligibility

To sit for the CEFP exam, you must have appropriate education and experience. Download the Qualification Spreadsheet to review your background and confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements.

Program Details

  • Request a CEFP coupon prior to applying to the CEFP program.  Send a copy of your qualification spreadsheet and an email requesting the promotion code to VPPD@erappa.org.  The VP of Professional Development will confirm if you can receive the subsidy and will confirm reimbursements once completed.
  • The $550 CEFP registration fee must be paid upfront by the applicant and will be reimbursed upon successful completion of the testing process, regardless of exam outcome.  However, if exam is not completed within the 6 months from registration, there will be no refund of fee.
  • Subsidies will be available while quantities last from September through February.
  • Promotion Codes for subsidies are non-transferable.

Course & Exam Information

  • The prep course and exams are offered exclusively online.
  • Once purchased, you will have 6 months to complete the online course and exam.
  • The exam must be scheduled prior to the end of the 6 months from registration to qualify for reimbursement.
  • CEFP credential holders must accrue 90 APPA units every three years  (this change goes into effect Feb 1, 2026) and apply for renewal. (For details, visit APPA Recertification).
  • Recertification costs are not included with this offer.

Requirements for Reimbursement
By using an ERAPPA discount coupon, you affirm that you will:

  • Obtain prior authorization from your immediate supervisor or manager.
  • That you will take the CEFP course and exam within 6 months of registration for a full refund ( pass or fail).  Failure to complete within the 6-month window will make you ineligible for a refund.

Supervisors or managers must send an authorization email to VPPD@erappa.org.   , including the applicant’s name and email address. Once approved the VPPD will advise you that you can register through APPA for the CEFP.
